"Gathering of All Nations 2012 - Australia"

Eleven years of events and worldwide preparation have gone into creating this unique Australian event and in the process we have achieve many successes.

One of the many highlights includes the New Millennium of Peace celebrations on 1st January 2000.

USA event leader Mr Robert Alan Silverstein invited Australian Richard Fletcher to join his global peace efforts to the remarkable USA Team efforts which included the late; Linda Grover and Steve Diamond.

The event gained great influence from:

A UN Resolution calling for all nations to join the celebrations, the support of Peace champion Former UN Assistant Secretary General Mr Robert Muller, Former USA President Clinton all attracting hundreds of other influential individuals around the world which made the event possible.

The total outcome...140 Countries, 50 National Governments, NGO’s and millions of people creating and participating in World Peace events to highlight 1st January 2000 as the first Day of Peace in the New Millennium of Global Peace.

Since 1st January 2000 and to avoid confusion Richard Fletcher changed the name from World Peace 2000 to ‘Universal Peace Society (UPS).’ 

Many issues since 2000 have tempered UPS’s peace work therefore we know ‘Gathering of All Nations Australia 2012 is possible!’

Richard Fletcher maintains regular correspondence and whenever possible personal meetings with; UN and NGO’s representatives, political, spiritual and religious figures plus indigenous elders and peace leaders from around the world.

Richard Fletcher so far has represented UPS and Oceania at International Peace Leadership Conferences in Seoul Korea, New Zealand, and in USA at San Francisco and Kodiak Alaska.

Through all UPS international representations, Richard has taken the opportunity to invite Indigenous Elders, Spiritual and Religious Figures, Political Leaders, Famous Musicians / Entertainers, Organizations and People from around the world to join our unique Peace Leadership event...

On 11 Sep 1999, the personal spiritual experiences of our founder Mr Richard A Fletcher started him sending peace messages under the name 'World Peace 2000' and he never imagined what happened next... Within two months of sending his World Peace 2000 peace messages he became:

The individuals and combined team's effort created a Global Peace event that attracted people around the world to celebrate The First Day of the New Millennium of Peace on 1 January 2000.

Let us understand that it is posible so leads us to maintain our inner Peace.

Inner Peace does lead us to understand how important it is to treat everyone with; caring and loving actions and thoughts; after all we are all one reflection of each other; therefore hurting anyone will hurt us in many ways.

Via our loving actions and thoughts we all contribute in promoting and building, the universal enjoyment and life we all want to trully live in. Each loving thought bring us closer to our true collective wellbeing providing that our actions and thoughts allow everyone to express and practice their own spiritual beliefs.
 
Treat others equally regardless of social status, political or economical backgrounds as we are not really our body, we are all a part of one loving living consciousness. Raising our consiousness will bring us to understand the ever knowingness of the divine within all.

The Secret to peace and harmony in our lives is simple... Kindness towards every living thing!
We have proven it is posible and in 1999 our peace team's combined success attracted...

A United Nations Resolution, participation of 140 countries and 50 National Governments, Dalai Lama cooments, Balinese Royal Family and a host of other Dignitaries from around the world plus a USA Government Annual Day of Peace celebrations.

In addition UNESCO Manifesto 2000 gathered 79,000,000 signatures giving further support to the outcome of our combined global peace event.

Australian Local and State Governments including some 80,000 Australians joined our Global participation with 1st January 2000 events around the country. On that day a number of us gathered in prayers and Meditation in Treasury Gardens and later at the World Peace 2000 Monument gifted by the City of Stonnington for our celebrations representation at Prahran in Melbourne Australia.


Since year 2000 our Founder's honorary work towards world peace has included peace lectures and meetings with Religious, Indigenous and Political Leaders in Alaska and San Francisco in USA. Auckland, Wellington and Lower Hutt in New Zealand, Seoul in Korea, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Gold Coast in Queensland, Geelong, Gipsland, Seymour Melbourne and many other places around Australia.




     


Our Founder now invites you to join Universal Peace Society next global peace event in 2012 this time his goal is to attract 100,000,000 people to join us and bring proven Peace Solutions that will assist in celebrating world peace around the world. In the mean time he suggests for people to register their country's participation.
